Tournament Rules

  1. 8 Players per team.
  2. 5 overs match – maximum 2 overs per Bowler.
  3. Minimum 4 Bowlers
    Underarm Bowling / no runup / start (run up) from the Box
  4. No Ball:
    • Two runs for batting team with extra ball. No Free hit
    • Full toss above waist / height of Stump. Full Toss ball going behind stump above stump height
    • Pitched before center line marked on the pitch
    • If ball stops before it reach to batsmen after bowled.
    • More than 2 Pitches before it crosses batsman
    • If bowler does not tell the side.
    • Both main and Leg umpire can give / declare a NO Ball
  5. Wide Ball:
    • Off side for wide – one bat distance from central stump.
    • Leg Side – Outside of leg stump behind the batsman.
    • Two runs for batting team with extra ball. No Free hit
  6. Wicket keeper is NOT mandatory.
  7.  LDW – no LDW. No Leg byes. No run out when batsmen try to run on leg bye.
  8.  Bat-pad, pad-Bat, body-bat catch is a valid catch.
  9.  Overthrow – Yes
  10.  Byes – Yes
  11. Out:
    • Direct Catch out, no bounce
    • Hit the roof
    •  Hit above the Controlled line of 6 runs. It should be about 10 odd feet (depending on the ground).
    •  Run Out
    •  If the batsman “hits” the ball twice, he is out.
    •  Hit wicket and other standard ways of getting out
  12.  Umpire decision is full and final.
Boundaries:
  • Four – on ball touching border on front side
  • No Four (boundry)on backside of batting stumps. If ball is stuck in net / lost on back side, 2 runs max.
  • Six – Direct hit on wall on Front side below defined line
  • If ball hits roof on front side of the stumps above field – Out
Super Over – Power Play:
  • 3rd over of the innings
  • Not out if hit the roof
  • If hits roof and hits boundary – max 4
  • 6 runs above controlled line for 6 runs. Normal 6 as permitted.
  • Other ways of getting out like bold, Catch, run out, stumped are still valid.

We will be using normal lawn tennis ball.

You can bring in 10 but only 8 will be on the field.

Minimum 2 but most team should get min of 3. We are exploring if all teams get min of 3.

No, you must stand in the box while bowling.

Your arm can NOT go above shoulder.
